Untitled And Bad K-On Fic 1 (Chapter 1)

Azusa was unaccustomed to the rigors of life as a part of Houkago Tea Time. At the moment, her so-called guide to the life was the band's so-called leader, Ritsu. Ritsu claimed that the hard thing was finding something to do all day.

The band was on an extended break from touring when their guitarist, Yui decided to get a rhythm guitarist. This resulted in Azusa's sudden ascension into the ranks of the semi-famous, as well as her friend Jun being brought along, as part of what Ritsu called the "entourage". The band's original purpose for the break was to start working on their long awaited second album, tentatively titled "Houkago Tea Time II".

The so-called rigors that Ritsu had coerced her to witness firsthand consisted of her and Yui sprawled on furniture in the large entertainment room of the traditional Japanese estate the band occupied. Azusa felt that they were out of place in standard, western style clothes, something that didn't seem to bother anyone else.

"Hey Ricchan, what's on the television?"

Ritsu glanced at the TV and answered matter-of-factly "Looks like your first edition Miku figurine."

"No no no no! I didn't mean what's on the TV, I meant what sho-", Yui bolted upright and hurried over to the TV, "I thought I lost Miku-chan, what was she doing here?"

Ritsu shrugged. "Taking a leek, I suppose."

"RICCHAN !!"

Azusa was fed up with these two and decided to seek out the other two members of her new band. She ran into Mugi while walking idly down a hall she had chosen at random. The blonde said that she was needed at an interview, but directed Azusa toward the in-house studio, where her final new bandmate should be.

As she neared the studio she could hear a bass being tuned and women talking. From the sound of it, Mio and their manager, Nodoka, were discussing the beginnings of the album.

Rather than eavesdrop on them, she knocked and entered the large room. Nodoka and a short haired girl she hadn't met were sitting at a control panel, Mio was sitting on a nearby stool, and Jun was sitting on an amp tuning her bass, although her friend looked up and smiled at her appearance.

Mio glanced over at Azusa with an understanding expression, and asked "Fed up with those two?"

Azusa simply nodded, feeling that a detailed answer was unnecessary. Mio glanced at the two working at the control panel and realized that Azusa hadn't met the second girl. "Azusa, this is Okuda Nao, our producer."

Hearing her name, the girl glanced up and waved at Azusa, before looking back to what she was doing.

Azusa idly sat down next to Jun who was still fiddling with her bass' tuning pegs. After it became clear that Azusa had nothing to say, Mio turned slightly toward the manager and producer.

Jun groaned and put her bass down carefully in frustration. "I just don't get this tuning thing!"

Mio walked over, took Jun's bass and left the room. Jun glanced at Azusa, who shrugged and leaned against the wall. A few minutes later, Mio returned, bass in tow. "Try it now" she said, handing it to the other bassist.

After Jun had plucked the strings a few times, she was visibly shocked, and said "How'd you do that, I've been struggling for half an hour on this!"

The black haired woman shrugged. "I didn't do anything other than hand it to Yui. She tuned it in a couple seconds. You really must not have played it much, normally she's faster."

While Azusa donned a skeptical expression after Mio's claim, Jun just grinned sheepishly. "Yeah, I'm a bit of a novice, I'm still learning when I have time."

Azusa took this as her cue to comment, poking Jun in the side as she did so. "You have all the time you'll need now."

"I know that, koneko-san" Jun said, accentuating the statement by sticking out her tongue.

Azusa huffed and turned away from the bassists. Well, mainly the brunette one. She sat there for a long while, listening to Jun attempting to play Low Rider, and if she were asked to be honest, she'd have to say that Jun was failing, although her tenacity was certainly impressive.

After a while, Jun's poor technique faded off and Azusa noticed the sound of an acoustic guitar in its place. The simple riff was instantly recognizable to Azusa, and soon the voice of Houkago Tea Time's lead singer came in, singing the familiar lines.

"What a beautiful face I have found in this place, that is circling all round the sun…"

----

Yui was crawling up the side of Ritsu, to the slight annoyance of the drummer. The guitarist became bolder, which resulted in slightly more annoyance. When she felt the hem of her shirt being lifted, she had to say something. This something came out in a way she hadn't wanted. "Yui~", she said very shakily, "stop, please."

The guitarist pulled away with a pout and left the drummer feeling slightly unfulfilled. Ritsu steeled herself, however, knowing that having their newest member walk in on them could end poorly.

A visit from Mio confirmed for the two that Azusa had left them and gone to the studio. Mio also brought a bass that neither brunette recognized. After the instrument's purpose was made clear, Yui quickly tuned it and returned it while babbling about how the drummer had found her Miku figurine. With her business done, Mio left to return to the studio. The brunettes returned to what they had been doing.

However, Yui soon grew bored of her book, having figured out where it was going. She often had trouble reading, since she always seemed to figure these things out. You would think a book on conceptual physics would avert this, an idea the ever resourceful blonde had come up after a request by the drummer. Sadly, Yui had figured out quantum mechanics by the second chapter and had been idly been working on faster-than-light travel for three chapters before tossing the book aside. She decided to find something more interesting to do. "Riiicchan~!"

The drummer knew it was no use to try to avoid it, so she calmed herself by pausing her show and setting the controller aside. About a second afterwards, she was on her back on the couch, and dexterous hands were dancing about under her shirt. She sighed and let Yui work her magic.

Yui's mind began to work miracles on the mysteries of the universe while her hands worked miracles on the anatomy of her drummer.

Through a crack in the door, two pairs of blue eyes watched intently.
